I know Agent Carter was never added to MCU A Chronology, but I always felt it was the most relevant and connected of the TV series since its events did, technically, lead into the creation of SHIELD later, and Peggy Carter's many appearances and flashbacks further solidified her importance to the overarching continuity. The timeline keepers even made sure that Steve returned to Peggy in 1949, notably two years after the Agent Carter TV series ends, meaning that the series doesn't contradict the chronology established in Endgame.
All that being said, my dreams of the series being acknowledged as part of the official MCU timeline have been permanently dashed: the new Marvel Studios: Legends episode "Agent Carter" makes no reference to the TV series, only the films and the "Agent Carter" One-Shot that in effect acted as a pilot for the TV series.
It's a sad end for a problematic but still worthwhile series. Besides her upcoming appearance in What If?, I imagine Peggy will be back in some form or another, either in flashbacks or in period films or TV series, but it's a shame Marvel has decided to needlessly expunge the Marvel Television productions just out of some spite that isn't even relevant anymore. I can understand ignoring things like Inhumans, The Runaways, Cloak & Dagger, *cough*Helstrom*cough* and even Agents of SHIELD, but Agent Carter and the Defenders-linked series had strong fan followings (hiccups aside) and deserve recognition. It sounds like the latter may finally get their due (sans Iron Fist) so it is a shame the former can't as well.
